Madden 27 cross-play: what is shared and what is not

Cross-play is not one universal switch. Matchmaking, invites, progression, leaderboards, and the Ultimate Team Auction House have different boundaries.

How to add a cross-platform friend

  1. Open the EA connect interface.
  2. Go to Player Search.
  3. Search by EA Identification number or the supported platform identifier.
  4. Confirm both players opted into cross-play and entered a supported mode.

Progression checkpoint

EA says Superstar avatar progression and gear purchases are shared across PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. Do not assume this statement applies to every item, currency, or mode.
